Literacy Association of South Africa (LITASA)

LITASA is a volunteer-run member body with the primary purpose of promoting literacy. Through research, sharing of best practice and community collaboration, we aim to grow a strong literacy community. We bring together individuals and organisations using various platforms including our workshops, national conference, outreach programmes, scholarly journal, website and social media. We operate at a national level and have four branches working locally. We comprise members who come from various spheres at all levels within the literacy sector. LITASA is a registered NPO and PBO.

Al-Anon members are people, just like you,
who are worried about someone with a drinking problem.
Al-Anon offers understanding help; support to families and friends of problem drinkers. Our program is adapted from Alcoholics Anonymous and is based upon the Twelve Steps, Twelve Traditions and Twelve Concepts of Service.
Come to a meeting.The only requirement is that you have a relative or friend with a drinking problem. Your anonymity is protected. There are no fees for membership – we are self-supporting through voluntary contributions.

The CDI is a non-profit company with over 20 years of success in developing creative people, small businesses and the craft and design sector at large in South Africa. The CDI is a catalytic agent of change in the sector, and passionate about developing appropriately skilled, resourced and digitally proficient practitioners who can successfully leverage opportunities for growth and development.

The CDI currently supports over 5 500 businesses and individuals in the South African craft and design sector. The small businesses supported by the CDI range from start-ups to exporting enterprises and are based all over South Africa – from rural towns to urban centres. CDI’s services help these businesses develop the right product/service for the right market using appropriate business and production systems; and facilitates national and international market opportunities to help them grow.

Life Line South Africa (LLSA)

LifeLine was established in 1970. This was out of a need for community members to have access to a 24-hour telephonic service that can assist them to address the psychological and social stresses and trauma that they are struggling to deal with.

For example; family problems, traumdepression, loneliness, pregnancy, HIV infection/affection, bereavement, sexual and gender violence, substance abuse, or any other situation where a person is struggling to cope with life, in general.
