It provides catalytic finance to unlock private sector investments in renewable energy and energy efficiency. SEFA offers technical assistance and concessional finance instruments to remove market barriers, build a more robust pipeline of projects and improve the risk-return profile of individual investments. The Fund’s overarching goal is to contribute to universal access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy services for all in Africa, in line with the New Deal on Energy for Africa and Sustainable Development Goal 7.

Continue reading →The Statutory Council for the Squid and Related Fisheries of South Africa was established in August 2007 by the Honourable Minister of Labour, in terms of the Labour Relations Act, 66 of 1995. The Council is a completely independent body and therefore does not belong to and is not controlled by any political party, trade union or business. Currently there are three parties to this Council, namely (i) the Food and Allied Worker’s Union (FAWU), (ii) the United Democratic Food and Combined Worker’s Union (UDF&CWU) and the Small Employers Association for the Squid Industry (SEASI). Two members of each of these parties constitute the Executive Committee of this Statutory Council. This council is a statutory bargaining council.
