Rock Art Research Institute (RARI)
The Institute seeks to develop understandings of Africa’s rock arts in terms of authentic beliefs, customs, rituals and life-ways.
The Institute endeavours, through its numerous publications and other means, to convey to the public, as well as to the academic community, the complexity and subtlety of Africa’s rock arts. Over 35 years of research at the Institute has contributed to making southern African rock arts some of the best-understood in the world.
