The Royal Society of South Africa has as its aim the furtherance of all aspects of science, and is the oldest multi-disciplinary science-based Society in South Africa. It consists of Fellows and Foreign Associates who are elected solely on the basis of their scientific standing, and Members elected on the basis of their interest in science
