The South African Payroll Association represents the payroll profession with legislative bodies in South Africa.

The SA Payroll Association is a non-statutory, SAQA-recognised professional body. They have three professional designations:

1. Certified Payroll Technician;
2. Certified Payroll Administration Practitioner;
3. Certified Payroll Practitioner
