The SA Institute of Chartered Accountants is a non-statutory, SAQA-recognised professional body. They have three professional designations:

1. Chartered Accountant (South Africa) – CA (SA);
2. Member Accounting Technicians (SA) – MAT(SA);
3. Public Sector Member Accounting Technicians (SA) – PSMAT(SA)
