The SA Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP) is the official regulator for the architectural profession with over 10,000 registered architectural candidates and professionals.

The SA Council for the Architectural Profession is a statutory, SAQA-recognised professional body. They have four professional designations:

1. Professional Architect (PrArch);
2. Professional Senior Architectural Technologist (PrSArchT);
3. Professional Architectural Draughtsperson (PrArchDraught);
4. Professional Architectural Technologist (PrArchT)
