The Public Health Association of South Africa wants to build an association of those involved in health and health-related activities to promote greater equity in health in South Africa.
PHASA advocates equitable access to the basic conditions necessary to achieve health for all South African as well as equitable access to effective health care. PHASA will work with other public health associations and related organisations and advocate on national and international issues that impact on the conditions for a healthy society.

The Homeopathic Association of South Africa (HSA) is a voluntary association recognised by the Allied Health Professions Council of South Africa (AHPCSA) as the official representative of the homeopathic profession in South Africa.
The HPCSA, in conjunction with its 12 Professional Boards, is committed to promoting the health of the population, determining standards of professional education and training, and setting and maintaining excellent standards of ethical and professional practice. In order to safeguard the public and indirectly the professions, registration in terms of the Act is a prerequisite for practising any of the health professions with which Council is concerned. The Council guides and regulates the health professions in the country in aspects pertaining to registration, education and training, professional conduct and ethical behaviour, ensuring continuing professional development, and fostering compliance with healthcare standards. All individuals who practise any of the health care professions incorporated in the scope of the HPCSA are obliged by the Health Professions Act No. 56 of 1974 to register with the Council. Failure to do so constitutes a criminal offence.
CATHCA is the Roman Catholic network of Health Care Institutions and Health Care Providers, which exist in all nine Provinces of South Africa, Botswana and Swaziland . We operate in clinics, hospitals, old age homes, hospices, orphanages, home based care programmes and many Diocesan and parish projects combating HIV/AIDS.

ADHASA, the Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Support Group of Southern Africa, was founded in 1989. National Office is based at Delta Park School (although it functions independently of the school). ADHASA has 20 branches spread across South Africa, as well as a Help Desk in Soweto.
