The Association’s membership includes all 11 corporate forestry companies active in the Industry, approximately 1 300 commercial timber farmers and some 20 000 emergent small scale growers who between them own or control no less than 93% of the total plantation area in the country. Given these credentials FSA is regarded by Government and the private sector alike as being the Industry’s representative body.

We provide or facilitate Residential Accommodation for persons over the age of 60, where possible. When called upon, we provide limited welfare assistance to deserving former residents of Rhodesia / Zimbabwe, in particular to the aged and the disabled. We also endeavour to preserve the heritage of Rhodesia and to promote interest in the countrys history and culture. To achieve these objects, we rely on the goodwill of the South African community as a whole, former residents of Rhodesia in general, and dedicated volunteers in particular.

South African fishing industry. It represents 12 fisheries associations that jointly harvest, process and market about 500 000 tons of fish per year. These products are sold into the local market and exported to all four corners of the globe. Whereas some low-value fish species are an important source of affordable protein for millions of South Africans, other species are highly appreciated on export markets and generate foreign exchange and economic benefits for South Africa.
The Free Range Pork Association promotes Free Range Pig Farming in South Africa and helps small family farmers to raise pigs outside in a way that allows the pigs to express their natural instinctive behaviours. The Association does this by setting standards for the Free-Range Pork Industry to secure the best tasting and mouth-watering pork for the caring and discerning consumer.
