The Union is responsible for the National Tournament, Society membership quotas, to oversee the running of the annual National Tournament, to be the point of contact in relations with Senior Golfers’ Societies worldwide and to coordinate reciprocal tours between South Africa and a number of Senior Golfers’ Societies in other countries.

Whilst the activities of the Association cover a broad scope, it is realized that with the ever increasing use of skylights in buildings in South Africa, there is an urgent need to address the issue of standards so as to develop confidence in the quality, performance and reliability of skylights. Therefore, these guidelines have been developed by representative members of SASA as a service to both specifiers, contractors, manufacturers and installers of these products.

Serving as a regulatory body, PRAWA enforces stringent industry minimum standards and ensures the credibility of its licensed members through thorough vetting, comprehensive training opportunities via CPD implementation and assessment of their existing skills to ensure their compliance with industry minimum standards.
Membership with PRAWA requires contractors to fulfill a range of criteria, including operating as a registered company, holding a valid tax clearance certificate, possessing public liability insurance, workman’s compensation coverage, and complying with all relevant legislative requirements.
