The Association of Mine Financial and Administrative Managers (AMFAM) consists of 350 members at gold, platinum and other metalliferous mining operations. It was established in 1920 as the Association of Mine Secretaries. The main objectives of the association have always been to originate and promote the general advancement of financial discipline in the mining industry, and to protect the interests of its members. The Association’s objectives are achieved in diverse ways, including conferences and seminars, where information is shared by relevant presentations. Every year, each district produces written projects that are reproduced in books, distributed in the industry as well as to universities and libraries around the world. These books are a permanent record of the association’s achievements and progress.
