The WPMCA was established in 1981 and is affiliated to the South African Majorettes and Cheerleading Association (SAMCA). Through SAMCA we are affiliated to the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (SASCOC) | International Cheer Union (ICU)
Majorette-Sport World Federation (MWF) SAMCA is also affiliated to the ICU (International Cheer Union) and the MWF (Majorette-Sport World Federation) and compete at both federations’ international world championships.
Western Province Badminton Association (WPBA)
The Western Province Badminton Association are actively involved in the development of the sport of badminton, and with the support of the Western Cape Government, they have teams coming from Oceanview (many of whom have represented Western Province) and Gugulethu, who provide transport in bringing the players to the hall to practice and play league.
