The Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL™) is the second largest Animal Welfare organization in South Africa. Established in 1956, it is a charitable organization, entirely supported by voluntary donations. The prime objectives of the Animal Anti-Cruelty League are “to promote kindness and prevent or suppress cruelty to animals”.   The AACL™ has branches in the major centres of the country – Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Port Elizabeth, Ladysmith and the farming area of Bredasdorp.
