National Tourism Safety Forum (NTSF)
Description | ||
The safety of tourists and residents is one of the challenges facing destinations frequented by visitors. Acts of criminality against tourists have become a source of great concern and have a negative impact on the country’s tourism potential, and affect the visitor experience envisaged by the National Tourism Sector Strategy.
The National Tourism Safety Forum (NTSF), a public-private sector initiative, meets quarterly in Gauteng and is responsible for establishing tourism safety protocol and the co-ordination and integration of safety response mechanisms for distressed tourists. |
